EliteTCGCARDS.COM (“Elite TCG Cards”, “we”) runs hobbiesville.com, our mobile app, our stores in the US and Australia, and our buylist. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Privacy questions or requests: Sales@Elitetcgcards.com.
What we collect and why
When you order, create an account, sell to us, register for an event or contact support, we collect what that task needs: your name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, order and payment details (card numbers are handled by our payment processors and never stored by us), your messages and any photos you send with a claim, loyalty activity, buylist submissions and event registrations. We use this to fulfil orders, deliver and support them, run our loyalty program, buylist and events, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
When you visit our site or app, we also collect device and usage information IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and your approximate location from your IP (used to show prices in your currency). We use analytics tools that may record how you interact with pages, with sensitive fields masked, to fix problems and improve the site.
Our stores use video surveillance for safety and theft prevention; footage is kept briefly and shared only with police on request.
Marketing
We send marketing email and texts only if you sign up — at checkout, on our site, or by texting a keyword. You can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to a text. Order and shipping messages are sent regardless, because they are part of the service.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the providers that help us run the business — our commerce platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, customer-support, email and SMS, loyalty, analytics and advertising providers and only for those purposes. Some of them store information outside Australia, mainly in the United States, where it is subject to local law. We also disclose information when the law requires it, to investigate fraud or a payment dispute, or if the business is sold. We do not sell personal information.
Our relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by WordPress, which collects and processes information about your use of the store to provide and improve it, and which may transfer that information to countries other than where you live. We also use certain Shopify features that draw on data from your interactions with our store and with other Shopify merchants; for those features Shopify is responsible for the processing and for responding to your requests about it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies run the store (cart, checkout, login, currency, fraud prevention). We also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies and pixels to measure our ads and show relevant ones on other platforms, such as Meta and Google. You can control these through your browser settings, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal. Blocking essential cookies will break checkout.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for 7 years as tax law requires, and other information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete your account, or stop marketing at any time by emailing Sales@Elitetcgcards.com we respond within 30 days. We keep what tax and fraud-prevention law require us to keep. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Québec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Security
Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers; we never see or store full card numbers. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it. If a breach creates a real risk of serious harm, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Our website and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version.
