Terapagos ex Takes the Throne

The headline Pokémon of Stellar Crown is Terapagos ex.

First introduced through The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, Terapagos is deeply connected to the mysteries surrounding Area Zero and the Terastal phenomenon.

Stellar Crown brings that story into the Pokémon TCG, with Terapagos appearing across multiple collectible treatments.

The premium Terapagos ex Special Illustration Rare is particularly notable, showcasing Terapagos in its dazzling Stellar Form surrounded by the colours and symbols associated with the different Pokémon types.

For Terapagos collectors, Stellar Crown represents one of the most important expansions centred around this Legendary Pokémon.

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex

Stellar Crown introduces an exciting new style of Tera Pokémon ex: Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.

These cards feature powerful attacks that require multiple different types of Energy, reflecting the unique properties of the Stellar type introduced in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games.

The headline Stellar Tera Pokémon ex include

Terapagos ex

Cinderace ex

Lapras ex

Galvantula ex

Their striking crystalline designs give Stellar Crown a distinctive visual identity within the wider Scarlet & Violet Series.

Cinderace ex

The final Evolution of Scorbunny enters Stellar Crown as a spectacular Stellar Tera Cinderace ex.

Cinderace has remained a popular Pokémon since its introduction in the Galar region, and its Stellar Crown appearance gives collectors a new Tera interpretation of the Fire-type starter Evolution.

Its colourful crystalline presentation contrasts strongly with traditional Cinderace artwork and helps showcase the new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex design.

Lapras ex

Classic Kanto favourite Lapras also receives the Stellar treatment.

Lapras ex appears as a Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, combining one of the original 151 Pokémon with one of the Scarlet & Violet era’s newest mechanics.

For Lapras and original-generation Pokémon collectors, its inclusion provides another connection between classic Pokémon and the modern Scarlet & Violet TCG.

Galvantula ex

Unova’s Electric-type Galvantula joins Terapagos, Cinderace and Lapras as another of the expansion’s headline Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.

Its distinctive crystalline Stellar appearance gives Galvantula one of its most prominent Pokémon TCG appearances of the Scarlet & Violet era.

Hydrapple ex

The newly discovered Hydrapple makes its Pokémon TCG appearance as Hydrapple ex.

Introduced through The Indigo Disk, Hydrapple is the latest member of the Applin Evolution family.

Its presence helps connect Stellar Crown directly with the Pokémon introduced through the later chapters of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

Hydrapple receives multiple collectible treatments within the expansion, including a beautiful premium illustration.

Bulbasaur Illustration Rare

One of the major Illustration Rare cards in Stellar Crown features Bulbasaur.

The original Grass-type partner Pokémon receives a detailed full-card illustration showing a quieter, personality-driven scene rather than a traditional battle pose.

As one of the original 151 Pokémon and the very first Pokémon in the National Pokédex, Bulbasaur remains a favourite among Kanto and starter Pokémon collectors.

Its Illustration Rare is one of Stellar Crown’s standout non-ex cards.

Squirtle Illustration Rare

Bulbasaur isn’t the only original Kanto partner Pokémon receiving special treatment.

Squirtle also receives its own Illustration Rare.

The playful full-card artwork gives collectors another highly recognisable original-generation Pokémon to search for throughout Stellar Crown.

Together, the Bulbasaur and Squirtle Illustration Rares form a particularly appealing pair for collectors of the original Kanto starters.

Illustration Rare Pokémon

Stellar Crown continues the Scarlet & Violet Series’ strong emphasis on artwork-driven collecting.

Throughout the expansion are numerous Illustration Rare Pokémon, transforming regular Pokémon into full-card scenes designed to showcase their personality and environment.

Collectors can discover Illustration Rares featuring Pokémon such as:

Bulbasaur

Squirtle

Zeraora

Joltik

Milcery

Raboot

Lileep

Cradily

And many more

These cards provide major collecting targets outside the traditional Pokémon ex rarity structure.

Special Illustration Rare Pokémon ex

The expansion’s premium Special Illustration Rare cards combine Pokémon ex with detailed artwork extending across the entire card.

These cards provide some of Stellar Crown’s biggest collector targets.

The lineup includes special treatments of important Pokémon from throughout the expansion, with Terapagos ex sitting at the centre of the set’s collector appeal.

The Special Illustration Rare format allows each Pokémon to be presented as a complete illustrated scene rather than simply placing the Pokémon against a generic background.

Trainer Cards

Trainer collectors also have plenty to discover throughout Stellar Crown.

The expansion contains more than 20 Trainer cards, including cards connected with characters and locations from the wider Scarlet & Violet adventure.

Selected Supporter cards also receive premium Ultra Rare and Special Illustration Rare treatments.

This gives collectors another category to pursue alongside Stellar Tera Pokémon ex and Illustration Rare Pokémon.

ACE SPEC Cards Return

The powerful ACE SPEC mechanic continues in Stellar Crown.

Originally introduced during the Black & White era before returning in Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces, ACE SPEC cards are exceptionally powerful Trainer or Special Energy cards.

Their strength comes with an important deck-building restriction:

A deck can contain only one ACE SPEC card in total.

Stellar Crown introduces additional ACE SPEC options, giving competitive players more ways to customise their decks while providing collectors with the distinctive magenta-coloured ACE SPEC rarity treatment.

Area Zero Underdepths

One of Stellar Crown’s important Trainer cards is Area Zero Underdepths.

The Stadium has a particularly strong thematic connection to Terapagos and the mysteries beneath Area Zero.

It also became closely associated with Terapagos ex strategies in competitive play, helping decks dramatically expand the number of Pokémon they could maintain on the Bench while a Tera Pokémon was in play.

It is another example of Stellar Crown’s gameplay mechanics reflecting the themes of The Indigo Disk.

36 Stellar Crown Booster Packs

Every factory-sealed Booster Box contains

36 Booster Packs × 10 Pokémon TCG Cards = 360 Pokémon TCG Cards

The Booster Box is the classic full-display format for a standard English Pokémon TCG expansion.

With 36 packs to open, collectors have opportunities to discover cards throughout Stellar Crown’s complete rarity structure, including:

Pokémon ex

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex

ACE SPEC cards

Illustration Rares

Ultra Rares

Special Illustration Rares

Hyper Rares

Specific pulls or rarity quantities are not guaranteed.

The Mystery of Terapagos

Stellar Crown’s identity is closely tied to Terapagos and the Terastal phenomenon.

Throughout the Scarlet & Violet story, Terastallization initially appears to simply transform Pokémon and enhance their abilities.

The journey into Area Zero reveals that there is far more behind the phenomenon.

Terapagos becomes central to that mystery, and Stellar Crown translates its unusual powers into the Pokémon TCG through the new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex mechanic.

This gives the expansion a particularly cohesive theme, connecting its card designs, gameplay mechanics and artwork with the story of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.

A Distinctive Scarlet & Violet Expansion

Stellar Crown occupies an interesting position within the Scarlet & Violet Series.

It follows the Kitakami-focused Twilight Masquerade and special Shrouded Fable expansion before the series moves into Surging Sparks.

Where Twilight Masquerade focuses heavily on Ogerpon and Kitakami, Stellar Crown shifts attention towards Terapagos, Area Zero and the mysteries of the Terastal phenomenon.

That gives SV07 its own distinctive identity within the wider Scarlet & Violet generation.
